The Río Blanco Copper S.A. project is situated in Ayabaca Province (Yanta) and Huancabamba Province (Segunda and Cajas), within the Piura region.
The project lies at an altitude of 2,200 to 2,800 meters above sea level, 21 km from the Huaringas and 1,000 meters below their level.
The Río Blanco project has reduced its Peruvian concessions from 42 to 17, fully excluding the páramo regions. This responsible measure underscores its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable mining practices.
The Río Blanco project is situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level, 21 km from the Las Huaringas lagoons, ensuring that fragile ecosystems and their natural dynamics remain unaffected.
Additionally, the project does not encroach upon the Tabaconas Namballe Sanctuary or its buffer zone, reinforcing our commitment to conserving biodiversity and respecting the surrounding environment.
The Río Blanco project lies within the Chinchipe River basin on the Amazonian slope, maintaining a positive water balance and with no connection to the Chira River basin. This guarantees that water resources for agriculture in Ayabaca, Huancabamba, and Bajo Piura will remain unaffected.
